Evelyn Mieszala has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of property management including a decade in the Northern Virginia/ DC area. She joined McEnearney Associates in 2010 and her client services include marketing/showing/leasing properties, collecting rent, overseeing repair and maintenance of condos, townhouses and detached houses, enforcing lease terms, and addressing resident complaints. She has held her VA Real Estate License since 2007 and her DC Real Estate License and DC Property Manager’s License since 2010.
Evelyn understands that the greater DC area is a unique property management market in that a significant number of her clients are seeking to rent out their primary residences while they take multi-year international assignments. “While I prefer to consult with clients in the event that an emergency repair or action is required, there are times when I must make independent decisions on their behalf to protect their investments, if not their homes. I take this responsibility very seriously, and I consider my clients’ peace of mind to be one the most important services that I provide. When they are thousands of miles from home, they need to have the confidence that someone is in their corner to effectively represent their interests in their absence.”
In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, Evelyn is also highly experienced in price analysis of comparable rental units, screening potential tenants, preparing leases, inspecting vacant units, scheduling turn-over repairs, and handling eviction proceedings when tenants fail to abide by the terms of their lease. Though her expertise is in residential property management, she has also worked as an onsite Assistant Community manager at a multi-family property in Arlington, and she has experience in commercial property management, having managed two office buildings and two mixed use properties in the DC/MD/VA region prior to joining the McEnearney team.
